As the year draws to a close, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on the past twelve months, which have been filled with exciting professional projects, personal experiences, and unforgettable moments.
Remarkable professional projects
This year has been marked by enriching collaborations and projects that allowed me to explore new ideas and tackle technical challenges. One of the standout projects was for Intergros, a WordPress/WooCommerce multisite hosting several online stores, including deco-fusion.eu, which specializes in home décor. This project provided me with the opportunity to work on a complex structure and develop a robust solution tailored to the needs of a network of websites.
Another highlight was creating the online store filtres-huiles.com. This project expanded my skillset by introducing me to scraping, a technique that I used to automate the import of its extensive product catalog. I also designed a dedicated search engine, enabling users to find products based on vehicle models, significantly enhancing the user experience.
Finally, the summer of 2024 saw the launch of WPRunway for Divi, my WordPress extension aimed at extending the functionalities of the Divi theme. Although still in its initial phase with limited features, I’m thrilled about the potential of this tool and look forward to regularly adding new features to meet user needs.
Memorable moments
On a personal level, 2024 began with an unforgettable two-month trip to the Philippines, a country that holds a special place in my heart. This was my second visit to this beautiful archipelago and an opportunity to spend meaningful time with my girlfriend, who lives there. On February 9th, in Manila, we took a significant step forward by getting engaged, a deeply emotional moment filled with promises for the future.
Unfortunately, not everything went smoothly this year. Our attempts to secure a visa for her to visit France during the holiday season were unsuccessful, with two refusals from the French embassy. This was a stressful and frustrating experience, but it only strengthened our resolve to build our future together. Despite these challenges, I am eagerly preparing for my next trip to the Philippines, scheduled for January 19, 2025.
Ambitious plans for the future
Looking ahead to 2025, my goals focus on two main areas. Professionally, I am actively seeking opportunities to work and establish myself permanently in the Philippines. My aim is to be close to my fiancée and start to build our life together.
We also have a significant milestone to plan: our wedding. After getting engaged this year, we are excited to take this next step and formalize our union.
